The HP-books in english

Did you read the books in English?
I have read the first book, and the sixth book in English, and I am almost ready with the Order of the Phoenix. I will also read the other books.
I like them more than the german books. Some words sound much better in English, than in German. For example the word "nonverbal" sounds better to me than "unsagbar" Wink

What do you think? Have you ever read an english HP-book, or did you read them only in English? Or...^^ Just tell us^^

The fifth and the sixth book i have read in Englis, before i´ve read the german one´s. I only can say you, taht it´s very good for your english. Ok, at the beginning it´s very hard to understand, but you learn.

But I read first the german books and later the English books^^
When I would read the English books first I wouldn´t understand a lot I think...

It's not difficult to read the english first... =) I read the sixth book in engslish before I read it in German and it was quiet easy^^
I like them a lot in English^^ It doesn't take me much more time then reading them in German. Of course I don't understand every word, but in the context it is easy to understand the sense^^

Oh...i found it very difficult zu read the sixth book in English when I had read the german one already... hmmm...^^
I would like to try to read the 7. book in English...and I hope that I understand a bit... I will look how good I can speak English then^^

Maybe let's make us a meeting and then we will read together^^ And I will buy a dicionary xD
Then we will be able to do it^^
I am almost ready with the fifth one^^ And then the fourth will follow^^ I know it's not very intelligent to read the fifth before the fourt, but I know the books so well, that it doesn't matter^^

Well, I've read all 6 books in English. I just don't want to wait until it comes out in German and I don't want to know what happens in the book because they bring it on TV or in the newspapers so I read them in English first. I don't think that it is too difficult. And if I don't know a word I just look it up.

I tried to read the fifth book in english, when it came out, but it was to diffiult, but I was able to read the sixth in English last year =)
I think it's much easier to read in English then to write it^^ There you just have to know the word, and you don't have to minde the tenses, which I hate really!

Well, I didn't start reading HP with the first book. I started it when the 4. book came out and I was 16 at that time. I read the first ones in German first but then I bought them in English too and read them.

Yes, you learn a lot. I read the sixth book in english first and I can remember a lot of words and stuff.
I like the books much more in english, I think the language sounds "better".
It's a pity I still didn't have time to read the second, the third and the fourth in english. The others I have done some time ago.

I red the first book in english just a few weeks ago and now i think it was a mistake to read the others in german. The english books a much better, because the emotions and the atmosphere are much better and more realistic. Now im looking forward to read the six other books in english, too.

I red harry potter and the deathly hollows in english, and i must say it´s much better that the german books.
Some english words sounds better than in german. (look to sirius black´s example)
but it was very difficult for me and i sit there with an dictionary to find the unknown words Wink

but all in all i like the english books more than the german ^^

I've hear the first,second,third and the forth in English. I also think it sounds better in English. The 4 reads an Amarican man and I think British English sounds better than Amarican English.

I think the feeling is different, if you read it in english...
I can't explain it, but you can feel it better...
